About Langtang Circuit Trek
Langtang Circuit trek, also known as Langtang Gosainkunda and Helambu with Tamang heritage trail, is an adventurous venture in the beautiful Langtang region, north of Kathmandu. The trek takes you deep inside the unique life of the locals and provides you the chance to look into the rich cultural heritage of Tamangs. Tamangs are believed to be descendants of Tibetans.
Langtang Circuit trekking offers gorgeous landscapes, stunning glaciers, and breathtaking Himalayan mountains. Trekking along the bank of Bhote Koshi River, you will reach Langtang Valley, climb to the holy Gosaikunda Lake, and cross Laurebina Pass (4,600 m) to enter the Helambu region.
The trail goes along Langtang National Park, which is home to numerous rare species of birds, animals, and vegetation. The mountains you will see along the route range from 5,000 meters to 7,000 meters, like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Gangchempo, etc.
Similarly, the trail passes by dense forests of pine, oak, rhododendron, juniper, etc, and picturesque villages. Gosaikunda Lake has significant importance for Hindus and is mentioned in a holy book. After entering the Helambu region, you will meet people from the Yolmo community.
