Everest Base Camp Trek 16 Days leads to the base of the world's highest mountain, Everest Base Camp. The view from the base camp is surreal. The trail further ascends to Kala Patthar, a famous vantage point. Gorgeous sunrise and 360-degree views of the Himalayan mountains are visible from this point.

Everest Base Camp Trek lets you deep dive into the daily lifestyle of the locals from different communities like Sherpa, Rai, Limbu, etc, and presents you with their ancient cultural heritage, practices, and beliefs. Along the trail, you will come across many stupas, monasteries, and prayer flags.

You will also get to explore the oldest and the biggest monastery in the Khumbu region, the Tengboche monastery. The route passes by numerous dense forests, where you will have a diverse range of vegetation and wildlife. Likewise, the entire trail is decorated with breathtaking views of the snow-covered mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, etc.

Itinerary

Meet our team at the airport. They will welcome you and move you to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner and explore Thamel.

In the morning, visit tourist sites like Pashupatinath temple, Boudhnath Stupa, Monkey Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square with a tour guide. Later in the day, meet with a mountain guide and prepare for the trek. Do packing and double-check all the trekking gear.

After breakfast, we'll be flying to Lukla airport. It's an early morning scenic flight. At Lukla, porters will join the group, and we'll begin trekking towards Phakding village. The trail descends following the Dudh Koshi river and passes by small villages, crossing suspension bridges on the way.

We walk along the western bank of the Dudh Koshi river and pass by remote villages and waterfalls. The trail goes through rhododendron forests and crosses many suspension bridges on the way. At Monjo village, we'll register our permit and ascend to Namche Bazaar. The trail gets steep just before the final ascend to Namche Bazaar.

We'll spend an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. In the morning, hike to Everest View Hotel, a famous luxury hotel with a Guinness World record title. We can see stunning views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, etc from here. We'll then descend to Khumjung monster, one of the oldest monasteries in the Everest region. After the hike, we'll return back to Namche Bazaar to spend the night.

From Namche Bazaar, the trail ascends to Shanasa. We then walk to Phunki Tenga and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi river. Further, walking through lush forests of fir, pine, rhododendron, and juniper, we'll climb to Tengboche village. The views of Mt. Thamserku and Mt. Ama Dablam is fantastic on this route.

We'll descend to Dingboche village and walk pase the lush woodlands of rhododendron & birch. The trail continues uphill and passes the Imja Khola. We then walk by Pangboche village and gradually ascend to Dingboche village via terraces.

Today is a second rest day in Dingboche village. We'll hike to a nearby hill to acclimatize ourselves and witness breathtaking mountain panorama. The remaining day, we spend in DIngbiche village and get plenty of rest.

Enjoying the enchanting views of Cholatse peaks and Tawache, we walk above the tree line to Lobuche village. On the way, we'll walk past Dughla and its glacier. The views of the mountains get close. We also walk past the memorial dedicated to fallen climbers & Sherpas.

Following a rock-strewn trail, we walk by Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep. The trail then gets steep and rocky to Everest base camp. Upon reaching EBC, we'll enjoy the view and take pictures. After that, we'll retrace the trail back to Gorak Shep to spend the night.

We'll go on a hike to Kala Patthar early in the morning to enjoy the gorgeous sunrise and striking view of Mt. Everest, along with many other cliffs. After some time, we'll descend to Gorak Shep and follow a downhill route to Pheriche. The scenery along the way will keep us motivated.

We walk back to Namche Bazaar on this day. We'll descend via lush forests and villages like Pangboche, Tengboche, etc. The trail is the same as before. We may get to see Himalayan tahr, blue sheep, musk deer, etc on the way.

Leaving Namche Bazaar, we steeply descend through dense forests. The trail passes by remote settlements and crosses many bridges on the way. We'll walk past Monjo and Phakding villages. The trail then ascends to Lukla following the same trail as before.

After early morning breakfast, we'll fly back to Kathmandu. The flight offers stunning aerial views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Kathmandu, the team will move you to the hotel. The entire day is free.

You have a full day in Kathmandu free. Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square in the morning. Visit museums and galleries. And do shopping. Meet us in the late evening over farewell dinner.
